Privacy policy
Last updated October 29, 2026. Assbestos (assbestos.com) is published by Bopito LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site and its tools.
The short version
You don't need an account. Your tool answers stay in your own browser and are never sent to us. We use Google Analytics to count visits once it's switched on.
The tools
- Checker, cost estimator and state rules lookup: your answers are saved in your browser's local storage on your device, so they're still there next time. They aren't sent to us. Clear them by clearing your browser's site data.
- Usage events: if analytics is enabled, we may record that a tool was used. These events never include your answers.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and links people use. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country or city, from your IP address), device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies, described in our cookie policy. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default.
Hosting
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under its own privacy policy.
Links to other sites
Some links go to partner sites through assbestos.com/go/ (see our affiliate disclosure), and promotional images link to the Apple App Store. Once you leave Assbestos, the other site's privacy policy applies. Affiliate partners may set cookies on their own sites to record that you came from us.
How we use information
To understand which content is useful, improve the site and tools, measure which recommendations and promotions work, and keep the site secure. We don't sell or rent personal information.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months. Hosting logs are kept by Cloudflare under its own policies.
Your choices and rights
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or to object to how it's processed. Contact us using the details below.
- The site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
